Shelly RC snubber is an accessory for Shelly relays, and is recommended for use with inductive devices, usch as motors, fans, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and power transformers (power adapters for LED, laptop, TV).

These appliances can cause voltage spikes in the electrical network when switched on / off if voltage fluctuations are not addressed properly by the manufacturers, which can cause problems in the electrical network. Such a problem can be, for example, randomly switching on / off and restart of the Shelly relays.

To avoid such electrical problems, a Shelly RC snubber (0.1 μF / 100 Ω / 1 / 2W / 600 V AC), shall be connected between the live (L Out) and Neutral (N) of the electric circuit. See example wiring diagrams in the product descriptions.

The purpose of the RC snubber is to snubber or neutralize the spikes of the voltage caused by inductive appliances by the energy absorbing circuit inside.

Shelly RC subber is compatible with Shelly 1, Shelly 1PM, Shelly 2.5, Shelly Plus 1, Shelly Plus 1PM and Shelly Pro 4PM.
