Shelly Qubino Wave PM MINI smart relay with 1-gang, power meter, with Z-Wave protocol

The Shelly Wave PM is a smart relay module with energy monitoring, part of the Shelly Wave product family, utilizing the Z-Wave protocol for communication (868.42 MHz in Europe). As a smart home protocol, Z-Wave is specifically designed for communication between smart devices. The sub-gigahertz frequency ensures reliable signal propagation, and the Z-Wave MESH network topology allows devices further from the central unit to communicate effectively by using continuously powered devices as repeaters.

Z-Wave devices require a Z-Wave Hub or USB coordinator (connectable to a mini PC) for operation. The Z-Wave protocol uses standardized command classes (Command Class), making it compatible with thousands of products from different brands. A Z-Wave network can include up to 232 devices. Z-Wave also supports association groups, enabling direct linkages between devices within the network. Numerous parameters can be customized at the protocol level, catering to sophisticated user needs.

Pairing Instructions

• The module has an "S" button, a function button for pairing, removal, and factory reset. After powering the device, press and hold the "S" button until the status LED turns blue for pairing. Another long press (at least 2 seconds) initiates pairing/removal.

Installation

• Typically fits in standard size mounting boxes, but deep mounting boxes are recommended for faster installation.
