Yeelight is one of the world's leading smart lighting brands, offering innovative and smart lighting solutions for homes and businesses. The company combines modern technology with minimalist design to allow users to control their light sources conveniently and energy-efficiently.
The products provide outstanding compatibility with the most popular smart home platforms, such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Samsung SmartThings. Additionally, many Yeelight devices support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Mesh communication protocols, ensuring seamless integration. The brand aims to make lighting not just functional but also an experience.
Any base module can be combined with any additional LED module, but only up to 6 modules can be stacked (1 base and 5 additional). Combining the modules can create fantastic color variations.
This is an additional module for the CUBE, requiring one of the (separately purchased) base modules to function, as it ensures connection via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth protocol with smart home systems. The base unit also supplies power to the connected additional modules.
Communication protocols and smart home compatibility:
Wireless connection: The lamp supports Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 communication modes, making it controllable via phone and smart home systems. It is compatible with the Matter smart home standard, as well as Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings, enabling voice control and seamless integration into existing smart home ecosystems.
Modules:
The (separately orderable) Yeelight Cube base unit ensures the connection with smart home systems via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth protocol and powers the connected additional modules. Up to 5 additional LED modules can be connected to the base unit, with a total of 6 cubes controllable via the base unit. The additional modules do not work independently; they always require a base unit to function.
The modules of the Yeelight Cube Light system are physically connected by stacking them on top of each other. Each module (base unit and additional LED cubes) is equipped with special contact connectors on the top and bottom, allowing energy and data transmission. Simply stack the modules, and the connectors automatically align, creating the energy/data connection. The modules are usually secured with a magnetic mechanism, making assembly easy and keeping the cubes stable.
Maximum Number of Modules: A base unit can connect up to 5 additional modules.
Flexible Arrangement: Modules can be stacked in any order, and the base unit automatically detects them, synchronizing animations and settings.
